Anyone have any experience, good or bad, with this 1911? I have a chance to get one at a steal. They get mixed reviews though so I'm not sure if I should pull the trigger. It'll be my first 1911 also.
 
ive tried the commander size 1911 from SS, but not this particular one, I think it was the nightmare carry or something.. No issues to report, its a solid handgun. If its a good deal, I say jump on it. I'm from CA, so we're not allowed to own anything cool.
 
I don't think a bad review of the SIG 1911 would reflect on design or manufacturing quality but something to do with the buyer. I think it would be a good quality item. You have to be sure that you want the accessory rail, this will prevent the gun from fitting in older holsters.
