Sigarms has a SAK style knife out, and the steel is 440c with a 20 dollar pricetag. Anyone have any experience with them? As cool as the original swiss army knives are, this seems to be the better value for the money.

Seems fishy to me. Sig doesn't have them on their website and they're selling a knife made from 440c AND titanium for 20 bucks? If you get one post a review.

I just bought a VICTORINOX "OFFICIER SUISSE" SWISS ARMY KNIFE on ebay for $12 bucks shipped.

I'd stick with the time proven product in this case.

Be patient on ebay and you can score a deal on the real thing.

Unless you can find a reputable reference to it elsewhere I would assume it's knock off junk. I'm not say it is, but I wouldn't trust it...

alright, I'll keep an eye on ebay for the real deal... if all fails I'll walk down to the North Face shop and drop 60 bucks on the one hand Trekker, I like the guys down there.

looks to me like a cheapo SAK knock-off, with Sigarms branding. possibly branded for them as a promotional freebie, possibly just using thier name, but not their design or product.

I'm not sure but it looks a lot like the imitation SAK's that are sold here in the Netherlands. The ANWB (Dutch automobile association) sells them as part of their survival kits. I don't have one, but I think for that $19.95 you can also buy a second hand Victorinox Huntsman, which has almost the same functions and is a proven product.

righty o, to fleabay it is. How does a Leatherman Kick compare to a wave? Trying to find a good cheap multitool for spare bugout bags, and the Kick has a 20 dollar pricetag. Thanks.

Smaller, but still good Leatherman quality and I think a great value, you just don't get a bunch of tools. Amazon stocks many Vic models with great prices and free shipping, you might want to check it out. Before Christmas I got a great deal on one of their "gold box" offers for what was basically a champ without the pliers for $20  I bought 4 to use as gifts and I wish I would have bought 10. It's still not a bad deal at $35 with the free shipping:
