sighting a 22 in

I have two 22s that need sighting in, with open sights. I removed the scope from one and the other just needs it. They will be used for rabbit and squirrel. What distance do you hunters sight them in to? I was thinking 25 yards.

start at 40 feet then after getting in the pink go to 35 yds. drop with hi-vel ammo from 35 to 45 yds will be less than 1/4 in.

I sight in at 50 yards and call it good. Then shoot at 25 to see what you have.

You could go to;

and calculate but with irons you'll be good on game at 50 yards and closer...75 gets iffy and 100 doubtful from offhand field positions, IMHO.

I sight in .22 rifles at 50 yds. Pistols 25yds.
