I will not use this presentation - because not only is Kevin wearing his colors in slide 5, throwing up gang signs in slide 16, but he is trying to do a drive by shooting on air craft in slide 45.

This is not acceptable behavior from a professional like Kevin.

Well done. I like how you boil things down to core ideas, such as the heart of signalling is contrasting against your background in order to get noticed. The level of detail is refreshing as well.

GREAT material! Thanks for sharing!

the mirror section was an eye opener- didn't know about the "v'd" finger method
True !
I thought it was supposed to be used by aiming the mirror while looking through the hole in the center .

So what is the hole for, then?

The hole is exactly for what you think it is for - but you have no point of reference quite often. It is hard to see where the ball of light is going. So you use your fingers in a V to get a reference / starting point / secondary aiming device to get you started.

This allows you to put your fingers (who have a little light on them) around the object you are trying to signal, then you drop the ball of light on it, and you can, at that point, take away your fingers.

Try this - go out into your back yard - and try to put the ball of light on a distant object (say a far off water tower) what you will find is that if the object is small, it is hard to get started. The V help tremendously.
