Who was it with the quote about gun control in their signature? the one where hitler was saying he had achieved the goal of licensing every gun in the country. That was REALLY GOOD!

It just hit me how good it was. I laughed and shrugged it off the first time i read it, but then i realized how effective it was when i was talking to my parents about gun control it dinner earlier. They went in saying gun control was a good thing and after some good stats and that quote, they were all for everyone having guns. the quote was like the nail in the coffin.

anyway, I just wanted to thank whoever that was for posting that, and i would like to know the actual wording so i can represent hitler exactly when I use it in a real argument later. It's always good to have ammo.

Just to show the cloud in this silver lining, FYI, that quote was debunked a few years ago... it's a hoax, Hitler never made such a statement. Neither did Janet Reno say all Christians are cultists, etc.

while i know that quote and have used it in the past, i haven't had it as my signature line. i wouldn't mind claiming it, but it wasn't me

spark, i've heard arguments for both sides: that is was said and that it wasn't. there was no clear answer that i heard, but i don't care to use it much since it can be disputed.
 
I had that in mine for awhile until I was told that it could not be confirmed that he said it. Like Spark said it is allegedly a hoax. I have seen it in someone elses signature line as well, but not lately.

Speaking of gun control, there is a story going around that the Budweiser people also support it. Has anyone else heard this? I have no idea if its true, but if I find out it is, I'll never drink another Bud.

Why should a beer company be taking a stand on gun control, talk about stupid. No matter what side there on at least 1 of their customers is going to get pissed.The only thing they should be against people getting drunk and using guns at the same time.That has proven to to be a problem. Some friends have a cabin in a small town where drinking and hunting is a big problem every deer season. I guess at one point a group of guys came driving into town firing their shotguns into the air and yelling for everyone to look at the big buck they'd got. It was a holstein cow strapped to the top of their station wagon

Hitler took everything from the jews, after he took their guns. It won't take much looking to find that through out history people who were disarmed were killed or conquered soon after.
