So, received a new Hoodlum today. Very happy with it, best large Buck I have ever handled (strider hybrid and Intruder are neat but not for me, just collecting dust now)
Sheath is going to take a little figuring. My Brother has already ordered a kydex back up for it for me, not so much that I don't like the sheath, for me it will allow me to put it on two different packs (day vs camping) without switching out the sheaths all the time. Will see more use that way which is what I want.

Anyway to the title thing. Did Ron sign many of the Hoodlum boxes, all of them? It's a really nice touch. However, the box is huge and I didn't think I would save it for a user. However, now with his passing I would feel bad pitching it. Maybe, flatten it to make it smaller and set it back?

Also, sorry to all for not being around much. Move and settling in has kept me running around and busy with other things.

Congrats on being one of the few to get a Hoodlum.

However, this is the first I've heard of signatures.

Sounds worth saving......"Early Edition of Famous Hoodlum--with Original Box Signed by Ron Hood."

:)

Pretty cool having the signed box. But I know what you mean....the box is massive. Maybe you could use it as wall paper? I'd like to see some pics of your hoodlum in some new kydex. Kydex seems like a good idea as it helps take advantage of the "slender" blade.

Congrats on that knife and box. I think he was on the SMKW show right after the Buck get-together one evening, and signed some of the boxes. I think everyone that bought one that night got his signature on box. Who would have known. Hang on to that one for sure, if at all possible.

I ordered it from SMKW's so that makes sense. I'll keep the box. Going to use the knife, think it's better that way.
