So I just bought this item from the Emerson website almost a week ago, and received them a few days ago: signed (by Ernest Emerson) playing cards.

Now, I was interested in this partly because I like autographs and I like Emerson knives, so that was a no-brainer, but also because I like and collect playing cards. I have dozens of different decks of playing cards, some decks over a hundred years old.

The signature appears to be a real by-hand signature, not printed. These signed decks are currently only $10 on the Emerson website, and they also have unsigned decks, but $10 isn't much at all.

Yeah they're pretty cool!

I forgot to mention: these come in a hard clear plastic case, with a white cardboard sleeve as well.

They are really nice cards and the decks that come in the plastic cases are in fact signed by Mr. Emerson himself. Pretty cool!

Dear Members,

Don't know if the website says it but I drew all the artwork for the backs of those cards as well.

Best,

Ernest

Now as I mentioned, I collect playing cards. I have decks that are very old, and I have limited edition decks that only 5000 or 2500 of were printed. I'm a different kind of collector: I don't collect anything for its value, but for its appeal. Everything I collect, even cards that are 125 years old, or decks that that I've paid many times for what this deck costs, I've played with. At least one game per deck, just to feel them in my hands and to have the experience of using them for what they were intended.

But I don't know if I can bring myself to play with these...

Mr. Emerson, I have many dozens of decks of cards, and the back design of yours is easily one of the nicest I've ever seen. Thank you!

That's awesome! A really good friend (he turned me on to Emerson knives, that'd qualify him right there) has this artwork on his one and only Emerson shirt.

So I'm ordering a set of these cards (two sets in fact) tomorrow, one for he and one for me.

Thanks for letting us know.
