I just bought a para 3 with the S110V blade. Saw some modifications on other peoples knives. Does anyone have thoughts on these? Any ideas a good place to find these? Thank you in advance.

Oh, you're looking for where to find them! Are they outta stock on Wise Men Company?
5x5 also makes one, not quite as good, the tools are better than their wave and ring.

Thanks for the input. I have not seen whe red to get them yet. I am interested in getting the wave thing first. The ring looks cool but not sure if I really need it.

The ring is kind of silly and you don't need it if you don't plan on using your Para 3 for defense. The ring is best suited on knives like the Matriarch 2, or Lil Matriarch, because if you flip the clip, you can put a finger through the hole and pull it out into reverse-grip instantly. If you WANT it, realize it will just be a cool little thing to have on the end of your knife to deploy it, twirl it, etc. Potential glassbreaker and impact tool, but if you are just wanting a fast-deploying, cool knife, then you'll be fine w/ ring. Also, a ring is harder to put on the compression lock - you have to take it apart - the wave takes 2 minutes.

The wave, however, is useful by anyone who likes fast deployment. I have that on just plain everyday knives. It's just a good tool to have, makes for quality fast opening, once you practice, it becomes like second nature.

Wise Men Company makes the best one. Easily just as good as the in-built wave Spyderco makes, which it is tied with in how well it works/deploys.

5x5 Solutions makes an okay one. This one takes more thought than a normal wave, but works better for smaller knives. I imagine your Para 3 would be all-right with this, but still, I rec Wise Men.

OneAsterisk makes another. It looks good, but it is butt-ugly plastic. If you can live with that, go for it. Have not tried it, only their RAT/PM2 rings.

I'll tell you that these devices are largely $2 dollars worth of aluminum, and while I appreciate the creators for making such a cool device, they are replicated for costs of like, 3, 4, 5 dollars on various Chinese-reseller websites or the big bad bay website. Once I had spent what I considered a fair amount (100+) on waves, but still wanted to wave more stuff, I bought some fakes, thinking I've done more than my part to support the companies and their $5 aluminum bit.

They function just fine in my experience, I have a "fake" 5x5 wave on my Endura trainer and Yojimbo 2.
