Just thought I'd post some pics of my shrunken winter day-hiking kit that now includes the GSI Halulite Minimalist.

The ravages of time and pressure have reduced my carrying capacity and my little girl still refuses to be a weight-bearing unit
So I picked-up a GSI Minimalist mug/pot to further reduce the load, and have been brewing-up some hot drinks on our outings.
It comes with the halulite mug, reversible drinking lid, insulating sleeve, pot grabber, and retractable plastic spork. I've included a pic of my MSR Titan Kettle as a size comparison. They are actually closer in size than I expected and really isn't a significant savings, but it has some other redeeming characteristics.
The thing I like about it the most are the grabber and the insulating sleeve. Hot drinks stayed warmer on average approximately twice as long as those in the MSR.
For $20 bucks, I'm pleased with the mug and consider it a good value for low volume requirements. I haven't tried to nest any canister stoves, but have read that it does work. Note that ii does nest with the GSI steel bottle.
See you in the bush,
B
