Signing up for a Firearms Advocacy Organization, Need Help

For several years now I have wanted to join GOAL, the local firearms ownership advocacy group. I have refrained from doing so because I don't want any mail to my apartment to identify me as a potential gun owner. It sounds paranoid, but I am attempting to avoid theft and other thorny issues. On the flip side I want to support firearms ownership, and assist in advocacy for the cause as it were. Anyone have any thoughts? I was thinking about calling them, getting a membership and asking that they refrain from sending me anything in the mail. I also thought about getting a PO Box. Anyone have better ideas?

You could donate money anonymously. It saves them money not having to send you "membership packs" and other stuff. And you get to send as much or as little as you wish - no set amount. No one, not even the organization, would know who you are.

Of course that excludes you from membership benefits, if there are any.

Many charities have a "minimum mail" option underwhich they send you an initial receipt and other basic stuff and then nothing until the renewal notice.

E-mail is also great.

This is really good for the charity too since postage and printing are exensive.

Ask them.

I also thought about getting a PO Box.

Depends on what the mail situation at your appartment is. Most appartment buildings have locked mail boxes.
