I started a thread called "what's on your desk" a few days ago... clearly some of the folks keep "All The Things!" on their desk. And it made me feel a little less nutty.

Last night I was looking through BladeHQ and saw a Spyderco Des Horn and thought "that is SO sexy, I must have it!".
Only to remember halfway through check-out, that I OWN THE DAMNED THING already. :o

So, the next sign of Blade Acquisition Disorder:
How many times have you seen I knife that you absolutely must buy, only to realize that you already own it?
Bonus points: did you say "f*ck it" and buy it again anyway?

Never has happened and never will lol. I have 7 knives, 8 when my lil' Opinel gets here Saturday.

When visiting [insert name of favorite case knife dealer] I have to have a list in hand of what patterns and handles I already own, otherwise I'd certainly buy duplicates on accident.

I don't have a large enough collection to accidently buy a repeat knife. I do, however, forget that I have certain knives sometimes! Perfect example are my boker nano's. Sweet little blades, but I rarely carry then so they are easy to forget about. Also, I have a BNIB black on black PM2 I bought as a collector that I tend to forget exists...

20 years from now I'll bust it out and make everyone on here jealous! :P jk

Yeah, there's been times I've looked through the websites or a store and been like "Wow, I'd really like one of those!" only to vaguely remember I have one buried somewhere in my collection.

I definitely have a few doubles of stuff I didn't pay attention on.

I can't say that I'd ever have that problem. I handle all of my knives fairly regularly, even if it's just briefly taking them out, then putting them back in their storage case. I only have about fifty or sixty knives, so I guess I could understand if you had hundreds that that could happen.
