Although I posted these about a year ago, I thought they were worth bringing back once more for those of you who haven't seen them.

Our lives are full of signs. There are so many signs hanging in so many places, they don't even register in our minds anymore. Signs, for the most part, are boring reminders of what we can, can't, should and shouldn't do. But once in a while we'll see a sign that makes us stop and pay attention. Here are a couple of those that have made me smile.

A newspaper clipping I cut from the China Post in Taiwan 1990.

This pic was taken in Southern Portugal on a sea-side cliff in 1989.

This pic was taken on the boardwalk in Oostende, Belgium in 1990.

This one taken in Tanzania in November of '83 between Arusha and NgoroNgoro. There was no river, no beach and no restaurant within a hundred miles. There was, however, a bar

Is there a reason why these pics don't come up on this 'puter? It could be that Windows '98 and a vintage Gateway just don't cut it. What can I say?

Lt Dan,

There's probably nothing wrong with your puter. I have the pics on a photo host site named "Zing". Sometimes the pics are incredibly slooooow to load. Gives you time to run out to the kitchen for that tidbit from the fridge

Blackdog, thanks for the suggestion. A box with a little red "X" appears on the post instead of a pic. Odd, there are some pics that I'm sure have come thru on very old threads, but since then have become the little red "X"'s. Thanks anyhow...Dan
