Anyone use one of the sigtac knives? I've seen them at around 75$, they're made with a nice steel (N690Co) and feel nice in the hand. I have no experience USING one so the things I wana know about is:

how good is the HT?
how good is the liner?

The liner did not look all that robust, but I might have just not had a very good look at it.

Thanks for the feedback!

I own the Pterodactyl, it is an alright knife, G-10 on this thing is the roughest I've seen anywhere. I have not used it hard by any means but i can attest to the ease of sharpening. For a review go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WCslUX5VMQ. I picked mine up from Sigs Website for like $40 + shipping.

I've had a Sigtac rangemaster for about a week and the steel is outstanding. I just started This is the knife i'm turning to for EDC more often than my spydercos.

sigtacs are quality pieces & represent good value for the models. the n690c is a fine grain alloy & gets very very sharp. i consider the blade design to be robust but not bulky in a medium folder. the liner lock wo'nt fail on you, most people think the metal in the lock should be a 1/4 in thickness to be effective. i would imagine it would take well in excess of 100 lbs. force to cause failure. the action is very positive & smooth. i also like the black blade & find the scales in muted green very classy.

My favorite Sigtac and EDC was included when I bought my P226ST about seven years ago. It's a simple, no-frills, very strong, lock back, half serrated, thick 440C blade.

I would love to know who made it since I would like to buy another one.
