Has anyone picked up the new chef knife from CRK? I see some online dealers selling 6 1/2" and 9" models.

Would love to see your review

Both of them are very well made and ergonomic. I can tell you that these are some of the sharpest knives I have ever had in my hand, they are scary sharp. Be very careful that everyone that uses them respects the edge way more so that your normal kitchen knife. To put it plainly, they will slice/cut things extremely quickly.

link?

got it plaza cutlery has em.

They look nice, $200 each though...

my wife is a chef she uses the 6 in and loves it just as much as her william henerys. she says its got good weight and is wicked sharp...great meat knife

Thanks Crackerjax ;)
Always good to hear the opitions of a professional chef. Sounds like it will be a heaver choice compared to my light weight Hattori.

no problem she loves knives just as much as me but she likes kitchen knives...to sum it up its a cross breed of a japanese knife and and an american style knife. thick blade but can make paper thin slices...more weight than a japenese knife yet has a great blade shape that is usefull in all aspects...only one thing to get use too and that is no heal on the blade.. but the wife says it works and its not needed. she has both prototypes along with both normal ones the prototypes are hanging in the knife display case and the normal ones are used daily. along with other brand knives like her william henery zdp and her other japenese knives.... she thinks zdp189 is where its at in kitchen knives right now
