Name says it all. I am currently eyeing the XL stuff sack, however, I don't have the bag on hand to measure. This is for a buddy, so the sooner the better. Thanks for any help.

Yes, it is a question. What sil-nylon stuff sack do you guys recommend for the a Black MSS bag? I was thinking about the Sea to Summit line, but I couldn't find sizing info on the Mss bag :(

If I remember correctly, the MSS carrier that I can get for my Molle II Ruck is around 2,00 to 2,500 cubic inches. The MSS is a heavy sleep system. I can see why your friend wants a light weight stuff sack for it. The military carrier adds between to 2 pounds to the pack weight.

Good luck with your search!

Thanks man, I am just gonna go to REI and start shoving it in sacks.

The included sacks aren't just heavy, they break easily. Besides, Kifaru stuff sacks have ruined me.

Just in case anyone searches for this in the future, my original estimate proved correct. A 20 liter sack is perfect for the system, it can still be compressed a fair amount, so you can leave it compressed to your degree of preference. I believe that a motivated individual could probably stuff one into a 15 liter stuff sack, but compression would be nil and it would be compressed to the limit, tight as a drum is a good analogy.
