silat, kali, escrima

Hello,

I will be moving to the knoxville tennessee area (about 30 miles west of knoxville) in the not to distant future. Was wondering if anyone had any leads on a good silat, kali or escrima teacher in that area. I would probably do privates, one on one with the instructor since I get more out of it that way. I'm looking for a knowledgeable instructor who is a solid teacher and a good person.

Your contact should be Steve Klement at InayanEskrima.Com. They are a very dedicated bunch whose lineage begins here in my hometown of Stockton, Ca. Their teacher, the late Mike Inay was a friend and among the second generation escrimadors who helped bring this art into the mainstream public. Good luck in your search!

Thanks for the info. I checked out the website and e-mailed them. It looked good mostly cause they have a live art with contact training (akin to the dogbrothers). That tends to keep an art honest.
