I bought a Kershaw Leek 1 week and 2 days ago, and the more I have it the more I love it. But that's the problem. I love opening it with the flipper, but it makes so much noise they are hetting annoyed. Is the Od 1 or skyline quieter than the Leek?

Just depends on how hard you flip them open. Most any knife is going to give you a click as the lock engages but the extra noise you are hearing is the sound of the thumbstud or stop pin. You might be able to put some soft tape (electrical maybe) at the thumbstud interface on your leek, but, it would probably throw the whole lock off. When I want to be discrete with a leek I usually just use my middle finger to catch the blade or I fire it part way into the side of my leg then open it the rest of the way with the thumbstuds.

Who are "they"?

Can you tell them to leave? :D

I guess the Zing could be a little quieter...because you control how hard it flips.

I just did a side by side by side test. The Skyline is noticeably quieter than the other two new Wally Kershaws due to its lighter blade and single liner.

I get annoyed with the loud lock up on my .45's going to battery, too. But I know they are working properly when I hear it.

Machinery makes noise. If you want ninja mode, use a fixed blade.
