Hi Guys===

New guy here from North Carolina. I'm somewhat new to the knife world as well. I've always carried on occasion, but have lately gotten addicted since I found out about Ernest Emerson and his stuff is amazing!! I dont own any true Emersons YET, but i have numerous Kershaw/Emersons.... and I have over 12 of these beauties. I'm starting to tear them down and learn how they can be fixed up until I can buy something nice. I've found some Silica-Bronze washers and have sized them and polished them, yet the action is even rougher than those dang Teflon things. One up side is less side to side movement, but I'm curious if this is a good metal for this duty. I've heard Phosphorous Bronze is good, but can't find it in the sizing/pricing I'm interested in. Anyone had luck modifying these family of knives? For $30 and under, can't beat the quality and versatility. Any other tips on these is appreciated.
