hi i am Alec i am 15 and have started to make some knives with a local blacksmith for a school project and i was wondering if anyone knows about how i could incorporate silicone bronze into a knife with a traditional Damascus method of some sort.
i have made a look alike and will post some pictures of it soon when i am finished. but this knife is not real Damascus just a look alike. i did it by cutting grooves in the high carbon steel and filling them with silicon bronze weld and grinding it back so now it has orange and gray patterns through it. it looks amazing with a full steel handle and rams head on the back.
hope you guys have some ideas cause i am stuck.
