I have decided to get a nice little saw to add to my tramping arsenal, and the Silky seems to be a good option, the only question left is whether I get the 170 or the 130, considering there are almost the same price the 170 seems like the better deal, however since weight is an issue, I am leaning towards the 130 (in large teeth).

Since this is designed to be used for emergency shelter building/firewood gathering, as opposed to be used in the garden weight and bulk is an issue...

As I can only order these online, as opposed to seing in the flesh, any opinions from users are welcome.

You used the word "emergency." If it's truly only going to be used in an emergency, I'd go with the smallest and the lightest. You will carry it way more than you will use it. Hopefully (and most likely) you will never have to use it at all.

I have the 170. I carry a Fiskars slide-out saw instead, for the very reason stated above. If I KNOW I'm going to need a saw, I take the Silky saw. (The 170 Silky saw weighs more than twice that of the Fiskars.)

I was just looking at these today on Amazon, trying to decide on one. I am leaning toward the 170, it seems to me the extra blade length would save you a lot of energy when cutting. This can be especially important in an emergency, when you want to conserve energy. My thinking is you could also cut larger cross section branches.

Then again, I could be wrong...

I would go with the longer 170. I have a Gomboy 210 which is fairly big and a Fiskars which is lighter. Both cut well but if you PLAN on cutting then I would take the Silky as it seems more durable.

Heres a comparison pic I took a while ago. I personally pack a 170 most of the time and I dont even notice it. The 170 is an 1 3/4" longer and weighs only 40 grams more. And its only like what 2 bucks more.. Hell Ill even pack a BigBoy if I know I might be cutting something big. You wont be dissappointed with either and will probably end up with both anyway.
