I own a number of Silky saws and was surprised how much some of them have jumped up in price in the last year. Any reason for this?

Supply demand?

All the fan boys finally accepting the fact that silky saws destroy their Bahco Laplanders? :D

Who knows.

Without getting into a long, boring discussion- - the dollar ain't worth what it used to. There are many items I'd bought in the past - - including edged tools, guns, etc where I've caught myself saying "Damned ! I'm sure glad I bought mine years ago."
So, if I can afford something I buy it now. Quality stuff will likely be even higher next year IMO.

That's the thing...unless I'm reading things wrong (very possible) if you look at a graph of the exchange rage for the last year the dollar is doing better vs the Yen.

The value of the US dollar has declined 98% over the last century

When I Google the dollar vs the yen it shows a dip last year and an increase to where it is this year, so that's what is confusing me. 1 dollar is equal to 113 roughly now and it was only 100 last year.

I don't know the details of any recent price changes in Silky Saws. There's a lot of reasons that might happen. I was just referring to the long term decline in the value of all world currencies, especially over the last 40 years.
Again, now the buck ain't worth what it used to.

What kinda percentage increase (roughly) have you seen from the past ? How many years back ?

I sure notice how much prices have increased on a lot of products over the years.
