silly benchgrinder question

I just had a dumb question to ask, so with that in mind here goes.

Is there a retrofit kit or any way to convert a bench grinder to a one inch wide belt grinder?

The reason is, I was given an old Blue-Point bench grinder made by snap on tools. (1/2 horse, not sure on the RPM speed though) (I'll try to get some pictures whipped up soon)

That's what it looks like.

I used one of those belt sanders years ago. It just sucks rebuilding from scratch though.
