I am thinking about getting one of these to gift to someone:

My question is in regards to the design on the handle. Is it resilient and will it last with regular daily use and carry or will it wear off over time with normal use like anodization does? I have never seen or held one of these, so I am looking for some information from those who have first-hand knowledge. Thanks.

However, this is a great knife. I have got a bunch of Dragonflies. My wife has two, herself.
It might be possible to paint some polyurethane or something into the design (not the whole handle) and keep it from wearing off. I do not know.

The dragonfly tattoo is a novelty item IMHO. It’s for the person that collects knives to have something unique in the collection. Stainless steel scratches up easily and over a year or two of use (being in the bottom of a purse will be worse) it will look terrible. I bought a dragonfly tattoo for my wife and she wanted to keep it put away and never took it out.
I would recommend something in FRN. That way there won’t be any hesitation to use it, and there won’t be those ugly scratches stainless steel has.

My wife carried hers for two years and the tattoo was completely gone. One day she tells me she has lost it so I order her another, then she finds the original before the replacement arrives. Anyway it will wear off within a couple years of daily carry.

My favorite is the foliage G10. Looks great after many years of use.
