This 110 turned out to be really outstanding with the Agate Dinosaur Gem Bone having multiple colors and a rare agate fortification on one side. I have been experimenting with some new agressive sanding wheels that allow for a bit steeper "ramp" up from the bolsters. I really like the look I can give the scales using this new technique.....

Very nice knife. I really like what you did with that step up as you called it from the bolsters, it looks like it will fill your hand when you hold it. HL

My custom shop 110 with sambar stag has a nice ramp and I like the fit in my hand better than the 110's I have with a flat scale.

That is a beautiful piece. Gorgeous.

Is this one for sale?

Real striking work Red. Why don't you mirror polish the blade on that level upgrade? DM

I don't take the knives apart and I do not really have the right equipment to polish blades easily. The problem with polished blades is there is a huge amount of grit, stone mud, generated while doing the stone work and microscratches the polished metal. The Buck Silver Nickel knives are really hard to find and I haven't found a source for the silver nickels with polished blades other than ordering them from the Buck Knives Custom Shop.

I do buy many other knives with polished blades to start with and always need to buff out the blades when I finish with the stonework. It scares me every time I polish out a blade too. I am not particularly fond of the buffers....
