I've posted these in other forums but I'm sure you guys will appreciate them.

Its an Argentine picasso facon…
Two artisans and a blacksmith were involved in the making of this knife. One did the silver parts (lost wax for the horse legs) another did the sheath, and Diego Luque did the blade. The handle is attached with tar, the narrow tang goes through it so if the blade breaks, it can be heated, the button cut and the blade replaced. Just like they did it in the old days.
The piece was done for some rich guy in the province of Salta (owns his own private plane kind of rich) the guy lost it to gambling and it was sold back to the man who did the horse legs for a small fraction of the original price.
I followed the making of this knife in a local knife internet forum, never thought I’d own it. Then one day I saw that this man was offering it on a website and made an offer which he accepted. A real barging, I roughly piad the price of the materials used. You can see ho much silver was used.

Someone in that forum described this knife by saying “If God became steel, sliver and leather, it would look just like that knife” :-)

It's made using an old Collins Made in USA machete blade.
