This is kind of a low grade post but I figured it might be handy so what the poop.
Have you guys seen the silver inked Sharpee markers? I just picked a pair up at Lowes. Never seen em before and the package said it was a new color made so it would stand out on dark surfaces. I tried one on a piece of blackened steel and it stood out like a sore thumg. They'll be great for marking black micarta and g10 and such.
Just wanted to pass this along.
 
Just thought of using it on micarta as I was reading your post then saw you already said htat.

They sure are fun to play with. At friends wedding, had a matted picture of him and wife that we had some of htese sharpies by so everyone could sign it/put down best wishes. THought they were cool, but didn't htink of use liek this. Bah, one more thing to add to shopping list. :)

I wonder if they would work as a resist?

It appears to be "thicker" that the others, alomost like there is real silver in it! Very shiney...
