 Wow! Both look awesome, especially the moonglow.

Great job Peter:thumbup:

How thick is the moon glow scale?

I played around with some Half-LifeX and discovered that as it absorbs light, it gets hot. And as it gets hot, it gets soft, which translates into having a unsafe framelock.

Just make sure you do enough testing with moonglow before you deem it safe to distribute:)

Wow peter, I love the moonglow!!! a knife I got from my dad has that stuff on it and I have some good memories of the stuff (still have the knife too!)

what material is it? halflife-x?
and what is the strength/quality is it?
count me in for a scale if it is good stuff!

Just a thought, but if you start making scales out of the moon-glow, and you had some scrap material laying around. Could you possibly make some lanyard beads? I would love to get my hands on a glowing bead so I could locate the sebenza at night.

thanks guys! the silver twill is 1/8th thick so its relegaed to small sebbies or inlays. or i can laminate 2 pieces for a large or a zaan. the moonglow is 1/8ths also. i just wanted to show the quality of the glow, but as barry said, its a little weak for a scale. so ive been inlaying it in cf and g10 scales. if you hold the moonglow under a light for 2 seconds, it glows really bright for about an hour, then slowly dimms to a faint but visible glow for hours. i left it in my closet overnight and in the morning it was still visible in the dark. as for beads and stuff for sure i could do all sorts of stuff like that.

Put me first in line for any kind of beads you come up with. I was thinking something small and simple...like a cylinder or a small ball. If you can think of something else, would love to hear it!

Depending on the strength of the stuff, maybe you can make a new lanyard pin or even the very rear spacer that is next to the lanyard pin. Seems like it would be easier to go that route with scraps of the stuff.
