I was bored so I decided to strip and polish the spine on my HRLM. I started with 100 grit paper and moved up through the grits until I got to about 1500 I feel like it could use a bit more sanding, as some grind marks on the choil area are still retaining some coating. Here are the pics:

There is just something sweet about the polished spines. Good job:thumbup:
 
The lines of the HRLM really take the polishing well. I stripped my user HRLM and put a working satin on the flats. I then put a mirror polish on the spine and it looks sweet. The HRLM is one of my all time faves. Can't do much better in a small package. Nice work. Keep hitting it with the sandpaper and maybe some buffing compound on a dremel. Love it.
 
I keep sanding it. It's getting better. I think I have a dremel around here somewhere. A mirror polish on the spine would look sweet:D. Post a pic of your howler Mike.
