Simichrome or Flitz?

Flitz will clean, polish and preserve not only metal but fiberglass and some plastics as well. Flitz is non abrasive as it will and does a great job on BLUED firearms without any harm to its finishes! I' ve used Simichrome as well, especially for tough jobs but haven' t and probably wouldn' t try it on any of my blued firearms! If you do Clay, let us know how it works out!

I think it depends on what your polishing... I have used flitz fo a while in my guns and it does a great job... However I used Mothers mag. and alum polish first to really bring out the luster...

Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish will really bring out the shine on a knife. I have done a couple of stonewash Microtechs with this stuff and acheived some outstanding results! Almost a mirror polish look! Bear in mind that it took a couple of WEEKS, polishing a few times a day. Of course that is not a problem as I just sat in front of the tube and did the polishing.
Flitz has always done a good job for me. I also use something called Bluemagic, liquid and/or cream.
