Similar to Buck 110 but with D2 blade?

Are there any knives out there similar to Buck's 110 but with a D2 blade? I know Buck offers the 110 in S30V but I'm not a fan of it. Thanks.

Queen makes knives with D2. There's the Folding Hunter, but that's a slipjoint. The Swing Guard has a back lock, but that style might not be what you're looking for.

You could also try looking for an older custom Buck 110 made in BG-42. It's not D2, but it's not S30-V either.

Queen Mountain Man #3L for a traditional that's similar in D2.

+1 to this:thumbup:

Well there is ATS-34 Buck 110's around and Bass Pro also offers a CPM-154 version.
No D2.

How about a Queen Mountain Man? They come in a variety of handle materials, and are made in D2.

Based on my experience with Queen, I wouldn't buy one of these on-line unless you can get the seller to check the edge for you. Fit and finish is usually great with Queen, but they do have a problem with edges and D2 is a pain in the butt to grind if you need to remove a lot of material.

If you're willing to consider other steels besides D2, I'd highly recommend the GEC lockback. There are quite a few choices of handle material and the blade is 1095.

I don't know how I missed the Queen Mountain Man. That's probably the closest you'll get to a 110 in D2. Make sure you get the right one; there's a slipjoint version as well.

Knives of Alaska made folders with D2 steel in both a traditional clip point shape and one model with a gut-hook.

On the Queen ones, the way to tell the slipjoint version from the lockback is the model number.

#3 Slipjoint
#3L Lockback

Wow, thanks guys. There's some really nice stuff out there. My past couple of users are all black G10. It's an eye opener looking at the natural, even some of the synthetic, handles out there. Not a fan of the Axis lock anymore, though that BM Hardtail is nice. I really like the Mountain Man, though I do have big hands. The Buck 110 just fits my claws. I also love the Queen Dan Burke Grandaddy Barlow, but is that a lockback or slip?.... (edit) looks like a slip afterall. :(

Even better its CPM 154CM.

Really now? Hmmm.... road trip!! :)

I handled a 110 last night. I'm so used to knives with guards that I may foresee the need to swap the scales for G10. Give it a little more grip.... I really liked the way it felt in-hand though. Now I know why it's the venerable 110.
