interesting, but i wouldnt take it over kydex. its about half the price of kydex and has a novelty factor to it but...

generally its better than acrylic if you need a clear sheeting plastic, but not as strong as lexan. it deforms at way to low of a temp (145 deg. F)to be useful in sheathing or holster making in my opinion. hate to leave one in the car on a hot day etc...

ill stick to kydex myself.
 
I don't know could be neat but it just looks to much like the hard plastic shell that everything seems to be encased in nowadays when you go buy something at wallyworld or the like. One benefit I could see is that you can make shure there is no gunk in the sheath before you put your knife back in it to scratch the blade.
Other than that though gotta agree it seems like a novelty.
