Similarities between a boker and spyderco knife

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I noticed that the Boker Magnum Mountain Buddy looks very similar to the Spyderco Lum Tanto fixed blade.

Is this a coincidence or is there some story behind it?

Agreed there are many similarities in general shape but grinds are completely different.

Looks close, but not exactly the same, the Magnum is missing the special hamaguri grind that the Lum has.

Rough similarity, as there are with many blades, but the grind is different as well as the measurements. Does not look like a direct copy.

We've seen the "copy" thing happen...sometimes intentionally sometimes not.

It's possible that there are actually only 10 or so different blades around and all the rest are variations of one or the other. Different grinds, steels, length of blade, radius of belly, etc.
