Do these seem that similar to you? I thought so although there are big differeces such as material, production verses custom, etc.

Don't want to start any thing, just wondering if it's my imagination.

Hi Riley, There may be some things the same between the two knives, I am not sure, but if i am not mistaken the Camillus Talon is a Rob Simonich designed knife. It is almost exactly, if not exactly, the same.
By the way it is also the first knife that I have seen tha tcosts less from the custom maker than it costs from the factory. The only reason to buy one from camillus is if you don't want to wait for the custom knife.

Keith,

are you saying that you can get Talonite Cetan from Rob Simonich for 200.00 USD????? I don't think so.

BTW I think that there is another knife by Lightfoot that looks even bit more like Cetan and it is Hammer Head not the Sierra...

I think I must have missed something. These two knives don't look that similar to me. I have some of Greg's knives and one of Rob's and the Sierra and Talon look like distinctive Lightfoot and Simonich to me. Maybe I'm lookin' at the wrong ones. Can someone post pictures or links to help out the brainfaders like me?
Anyway, even if there are similarities, that has been known to happen quite innocently. I would find it almost impossible to believe that either of these two super makers would lack for honesty or originality.

Keith, a Cetan from me costs much more than a Talon from Camillus, and the Talon is available now, the Cetan has a 2 year wait....The last issue of Blade ran one of my old ads and my mistake the old price is there. Sorry for any confusion!

Thank you for the clarification on pricing Rob. Somehow I was given a price of well over $300.00 not $200.00 and must admit that at $200.00 this knife is a steal.
By the way I was given this price by Camillus.

Where'd Mr. Simonich come in? I admit, it is his design, but I was talking about the looks only between the Camulis Talon and the Sierra. I'm well aware that neither is a copy of the other, I was just wondering if anyone else thought they looked similar.

I never meant to shed anything negative on either maker or Camulis.

Never did I mean to involve pricing, quality, or even question whose design. I was talking purely about looks.

Sorry Riley this is obviously my fault. As per your question, I do not see that much of a similarity between the two.

Keith,
No worries, eh? I was not in anyway trying to start a bickering match. I value everyone's opinion. And I was unaware the Talon was Rob's design. Thanks for the info on that.
