I want this knife in the worst way! I like evrything about it, the size, the lines, the gunner grips, everything! Just one question, does anyone know what the blade thickness is?

I finally held one in my hand at a store in another city. They wanted $215 cash OTD - I was flattered... and broke. Not a good value to me at that price, much less it's list. I guess it is an acquired taste. The sheath is not a high point, that's for sure. I was attracted by the late knifemaker's 'history' - and his widow's continued work. I believe these are really made by Buck, however.

I really like the look of them but I'm not much of a fixed blade guy. I think a more reasonably priced Raven in 420HC would be a good seller.

any one got some good picts to post?
i got no clue what it looks like..
but i take it that it dont look like a 110..

I did some more checking... simonichknives.com still exists - and has a 'midtech' line with two Ravens - a 'Combat' model 7" x .200" S30V bladed one for $329 and a 'Military Urban Raven' model with a 4" blade at $199+. The Buck 895 Legacy appears to be mid-sized - 5" x 5/32" thick (.15625"). If you want a shorter version - or the 'real' combat size, as sent to Afghanistan, etc, consider the real Simonich knives. Additionally, one dealer told me the 'Legacy' models were no longer available from Buck - a call might be needed to verify that.

Oddly, I picked up a 650 Nighthawk at that dealer's. I'd never seen the plain edged version - just the short serrated 651 Wally World carries. I definitely like this knife - even if it is a bit down that 'tacti-cool' road for me. Maybe I'd warm up to the Legacy, given time. Good Paul Bos heat treated S30V blade, that's for sure. I just was expecting a thicker handle - and blade. A friend's demo of a few of his Busse Combat knives may have jaded me... That may be overkill, unless, as he puts it, you need to 'field dress a Studebaker!".
