Fellow members,
I have been looking at puukkos recently and have had the opportunity to handle examples from several manufactures to include Roselli hunter puukko, Wood Jewel Carving puukko, and the Simo Passi Uniikkipuukot. They each are interesting in their own right but in my mind the Simo Passi Uniikkipuukot is the best of the group in terms of finish, balance/feel and adherance to the traditional style. Sporting a hand forged YP blade mated to a birch bark handle with bolsters of alternating brass and leather, this puukko makes an excellent impression. I have never held a knife with a birch bark grip and was amazed at how soft and secure the knife feels in hand. I have several knives with stacked leather grips but the feeling is completely different than that of the stacked birch bark grip. The YP handforged, polished blade has a scandi grind and was delivered with a "haircutting" sharp edge. The dangler type leather sheath is made by the Ramaakko firm of quality materials and sports some attractive embossing. I purchased the knife from Lamnia, based upon recommendations from this site, early on 25 April and the knife was delivered to my door from Finland by the afternoon of 27 April. I didn't think it possible but they were true to their word of 2-3 day delivery. I am impressed by the product and by the service from Lamnia. I will be taking this out on my next hike.

I looked up the knives. They seem to be nice Puukko.
Good, that you are happy with it.
Look forward to a field report.

I cant see your pics but that might just be a glitch on my end.

I only have a good impression with the vendor in question. As you mention, fast delivery.
Speaking of which; Im not sure, as you dont post a price, but your post might be considered deal spotting, as the seller is not a forum supporting vendor.

Lamnia is a good company. I have dealt with them many times. Reasonable delivery from Finland.
