I want a nice, small fixed blade, and I was looking at the Crowfoot. It looks excellent.

Anyone have any experience with this knife, and care to share?

There is a Simonich section in the forum, so I suppose someone there could respond.

Doesn't seem a busy forum, though.

Useful design, high flat grind with a thin edge maximizing S30V's edge holding, and the quality control and fit/finish of the Simonich knives has always been extremely good, from what I've seen. Looks like a winner to me!

I used to have one. really well made, versatile little knife, but the Kerambit ring made it fit horrible in my hand, so I wound up using it without using the ring for a short while before I gave up and sold it.

If it happens to fit your hand though, it's a great little knife. (My hands are XX thick XX wide with little short tinkergnome fingers, so that's not the first time I've had difficulty with a knife fitting me)

My Crowfoot is one of my favorite knives. It is a small, easy to carry knife. The ring allows retention of the knife and use of fingers. This feature has proven very useful in cleaning game and other situations were I needed to use my hands but didn't want to set the knife down. Rob's designs were all well thought out and very useful.

I like the look of it. I was actually looking at it before this thread. It's definitely on my to get list. The budget is always the limiting factor for me. lol
