Just took delivery of 3 of Rob's fine new knives and I am happier than a pig in knee-deep mud:)

The workmanship and edge on these are what I would expect from Rob, perfect and very very sharp. Will report back after 1 gets some good hard use.

Bruce

That makes sense..Rob does all the final finish, and edge work, so except for the fact it wasnt totally ground by him its ALL Simonich. You scored some great knives there, cant wait to get my Urban Raven!!
you cant go wrong with them for a pure high performance combat blade, especially at the price.

Figure it will make a perfect sidekick for the Armageddon big-boy I have on order from you Trace. Sure looking forward to that puppy too!

Rob's Urban Raven is a knife that everyone should own. It is a great knife. I hope to pick up a couple more of those in the mid-tech line.

Hope all is well with you Trace.

Bruce

Thanks for the plug Trace, now where do I send the check? :D

Johnnyo, click on my link and click on the Raven on the first page for pics.....

Forget the check Simonich, send me a knife!!;)
Bruce you have FANTASTIC taste in knives buddy..
All is well here, cept I have too much work to do
:D

OK....I was confused. It was the Urban Raven I was thinking about, not it's daddy. I'm anxious for that mid size puppy to run off production. Just might have to take one off your hands.:D I was very impressed with the recent article on the full size Raven. Would love to try out one a little smaller.

JohnnyO...I am probably the 1 person that uses the internet that has no idea how to post a picture, despite being told how many times. Sorry man, ya just gotta trust me on this Raven stuff:)

Bruce, tell your buddies going to Afganiland to not forget my scalp! ;)

W.T.Beck, s30-V is inmy opinion the best BALANCED stainless on the market at this time. For a stainless, it excells in corrosion resistance, (akin to 440-C) edgeholding, and toughness. If you do a search there has been quite a bit of good discussion on s30-V. Like all steels it boils down to an excellent heat treat.

Rob's 110% right on... S30V will take over the stainless market soon as everyone blows out thier 154CM, ATS, BG, etc... Paul Bos tells me he is seeing a $HITLOAD of S30V... BUT then again what do you expect from the cutting edge COWBOY??
Simonich I better get a UR in Vegas you SOB...:D

straightblastpfs,

I found a pic of the UR in another forum. It is a beauty....From everything I've read about S30V, in the knife world, it sounds like the best thing since sliced bread. Just laid down some cash for a Busse NO, but am setting some more aside for an UR. Want to be sure the cash flow is ready for when Siminich is.;)

Steel is bought and all CADS are done JohnnyO. I think Ill make Trace wait a while though! :D

Maybe not though. :p

Sounds great Rob. Looks like your ready to rock and roll....Lots of anxious folks ready to take receipt of this little beauty.

I take back all the good things I have said about you and your knives man... :p Gonna make me wait huh? Bastage!! Hey I want the camo, and gunner grip too!!! Hope yer bringing yer drinkin shirt to Vegas bud!;) As if you would leave home without it..HA!
