So was wondering if Simonich knives is still in business. Have sent a few emails to Christine, and no reply. Really would like a Salish at some point, as have heard nothing but good things.

I had trouble getting hold of her via their website several years ago and opted to get one of her collaborations with Buck, the 895 Buck/Simonich Raven/Legacy:

That knife was in the '08-'10 Buck Catalogs. The only remnant of it on their site now is the sheath. Mine is a keeper - great hunk of S30V. Here it is with another short term offering ('07-'09), which graced the '07 catalog's front cover, the 408 Kalinga Pro and Cabela's 192 Alaskan Guide - all S30V knives:

I liked Rob's offerings... the Buck 895 was about all I could find of his work - it's a keeper - worth a search.
