Hi Guy's,
I just finished this Bowie. I tried hard not to get reflections in the picture's. The blade is finished in 2000 grit and got pretty reflective.
The Blade is forged out of 1084 and is 11.5" long.
The Overall length is 17"
The Handle is Fossilizes Walrus Ivory and I did some contouring work done to it.

Very clean, classic bowie. I would love owing that.

Only thing it needs is some pants!

Dave,
Words fall short for me to describe how much this knife appeals to me.
So I won't bog it up with words.

I agree with your thread title, simple and CLEAN. Very well done and beautiful ivory.
You really have a knack for choosing handle materials whether it be stag or ivory.
Does it have a butt-cap or did you leave the ivory raw at the end?:thumbup::thumbup: and a 1/2 ;)

Hi Bigfattyt,
When I put the Bowie on the Show table the end of April I plan to have an example Of Chris Kravitt's leather work right next to it. I do this because many people like to chose their Sheath maker.
Sincerely,
Dave

Wow I like that one. I have a question, On these types of knifes where there is no butt cap or pin thru the handle, do you guy's use hidden pins inside the handle ?

Thanks David, Great knife

Hi Jim,
It does not have any internal pining. But I am wondering how I could accomplish it?
A pin is the Ideal way to go.
I would normally go with a pin but it was the clean look i was looking for.
How ever if a buyer said if it had a pin in he would buy it I would put a 1/8" pin into it.
Excellent Question Jim.
Sincerely,
Dave
