Simple Green...

I'll be one. First I've heard this tip. I've been using -40 degree windshield was fluid that's in my dunk tank so it doesn't freeze.

i use water when hand sanding, it also makes a noticeable difference. cuts longer. makes sense on the belts.

One of the craziest tips i've ever picked up was using windex / simple green to cut & oil to polish. I've stopped using WD-40 until my final grit and WOW, what a difference. (i was using oil the entire time and boy did i notice a difference).

am I only living person to not know to spray this on 320 grit on down belts? Make them cut like they were new. Well, almost. A little messy but a lot like using Japanese stones... Very useful!

I used simple green for years until my local supermarket stopped carrying it. I use Windex now. Simple green was better. Whenever I see simple green, I buy a few bottles.

Try some 409 stone and steel cleaner. Once I started using that I never sanded with simple green, windex or wd40 again. It’s great stuff.

-edit. Sorry I just saw Drew said the same thing

I ordered a gallon of concentrate from McMaster-Carr. Not sure what your options in Canada are, but most industrial supplies will carry it, or likely your local big box hardware will at least have the regular gallons.

Auto parts stores used to carry Simple Green for cleaning, but I do not recall seeing it around much recently.
