Thinking it's time to move away from smartphones cause I spend way too much time on it. Not a big deal really but I am loathe to part with my audible app! Can I get one without the other?

According to the Audible website, you can use your computer to download the audio to an MP3 player. My old non-smartphone had an MP3 player. I've never tried Audible though (I listen to ABC news on Slacker, Bloomberg radio Android app, and lectures from credible references on YT).

You might not be able to download via Audible directly to your phone though unless you have Android, Apple, or Windows for it's mobile OS.
