Just wondering if Emerson knives pays attention to requests--as a grad student I already spend too much on knives and can't hope to pay for a handmade. After playing with my new CQC7B and Boker Brends, I would like to find a really good smaller production knife for dress/airport carry. I was thinking that a CQC5 sized knife with the double-ground CQC7A blade profile (non-serrated for political correctness) would just about be perfect. Could this be a possible project for the proposed "Custom production" knives?
Seems like this would offer a good utility blade, ambidextrous operation(too many companies don't seem to think this is important in a small knife, and the well thought out grip serration in the liners and the top of the blade. I bought and enjoy my bokers because of their somewhat subdued appearance(I work in a very liberal English department where my views on weapons are not popular), but I have been carrying my Emerson because of its well thought out, functional design and the ease with which it sits in my pocket. Currently considering the 7A but even this would not quite be the best answer to my dilemna.
I also don't think that I'm alone in my problems with trying to slightly appease the politically correct in power. Surely there would be market for such a folder with businessmen, etc.
Anyway, thanks for listening to a beginner ramble.
