Has anyone here made a simple sheath for an Ang Khola? I have an old Uncle Bill special that I use for everything from yard work to brushing out hunting blinds. Anyways the sheath is falling apart and I would like to try to make a leather sheath for it. If any one could help me out with simple step by step instructions as how to make something to atleast keep my self from stabbing myself. My system know is to throw it in my backpack and hope for the best.

Thank you,
Kirk

You are gonna need...

2sq ft 7-8oz shoulder leather

a compass

large piece of cardboard

razor knife or box cutter

dremel or belt sander

Dremel or drill press

Needles

Thread

Dye (not needed if using wax as sealant)

Rivets

lots of hair to pull out:D

Once ya get all of the above go to Dan Koster's site and take a look at his tutorials on sheath making for some ideas...Or if ya need a few pointers to get ya started e-mail me azraelsleather@netscape.com

Nec,

Do a search for my username. I've made several and they aren't rocket science. I posted pics, but if they've expired I'll e-mail them to you. Just e-mail me and let me know what you need. And, listen to Leatherface, visit his site to see why.

And welcome, hang around, you will find everything you need (411 wise) here.
