After reading Haze's post about the amazing titanium prototype of a Umnumzaan take-down tool, I started thinking about a simple home-made version. I didn't want to clutter his thread, but thought this might be interesting to some of you. I broke one pin off an Umnumzaan take-down tool from Chris Reeve when I dissassembled my Umnumzaan for the first time, but kept the tool as it worked quite well with three pins. Of course you also need an allen wrench and so I made this little tool this morning. Obviously I just sawed a bit off, drilled 2 holes, hammered a cut-off allen wrench through the one hole and : voila! What do you guys think? It works very well and doesn't take too much space on my key-ring. I'd still buy one of Haze's amazing titanium ones if/when he sells them though!:p

Thanks Haze! It will serve me well until you sell your titanium model................. Another advantage is that one won't strip the hex screw by applying too much torque. (been there done that:grumpy:)
