Simple way to get more money for knives

Over the last 7 months, I have "scrounged" approx. $153 from under the vending machines where I work.
There are roughly 28 vending machines throughout the site, and I have somewhat casually collected the coins that end up underneath the machines.

Decided to count up just the quarters, dimes, and nickels, and was quite surprised. Did not even bother to count up the big pile of pennies.

Not the most dignified way to make some extra knife money, but it's easy and harmless.

Wow, that's approximately 75 cents a day. Congratulations on your patience and persistance.

Man I can't pass up loose change on a floor without picking it up. I ain't broke, but that's found money!

I cant pick up the ones that are heads down. Dumb I know, but its an old habit. I am sitting next to a coffee can that is roughly 3/4 full of change including what seems like a lot of quarters. I save it all up every year, and being a college student I use it as Xmas money, a full coffee can last year yeilded $286. Luckily my bank sorts change on Wed. so I can walk in leave my name on the coffee can and a deposit slip and they mail me a recipt stating how much was deposited and when. One full can could by the most expensive knife I would own, gotta love loose change.

I put all loose change in my pocket in a jar at the end of the day. Amts to about $500 a year

I hate carrying change. Every day when I get home I put all the pennies in one bowl and the rest of my change goes into a 4 gallon bottle that goes on top of a water cooler. Sometimes if I have a lot of $1 bills I'll fold them up and stick them in there too. I've been doing this for almost 5 years. The penny bowl has filled up 3 times for about $40 each time. I put that in the water bottle too. I'm still trying to fill the water bottle. It's about 3/4 full now. My wife and I are hoping there will be enough in there to go on a cruise.

My friends are all making bets on how much will be in there when it gets full.

I do the change in a jar every day deal. I also use my beer can returns for knife purchases. That amounts to a lot of money for me!

Also, when gas wasn't so expensive, my travel\mileage checks would be used for fun stuff, now I use it to fill the tank.

I had a huge 6 gallon glass water cooler bottle in my room when I was a kid. I got it at about 6 years old. Everyday for 13 years I filled it with any change in my pocket or any cash that was given to me for birthdays and holidays. When it came time for me to leave for the USAF I busted that jar open. It was full with just the neck empty. For 13 years I was able to save up $1672.83. It took a long time to fill it but it bought me a car when I got to my first duty station.

Well, that's one way to save up for a BM 710HS. . . sorry, was just thinking out loud. . . sigh, sigh, sigh

I do the same change-in-a-jar thing. I had a lot for a while and used the Coinstar machine instead of the bank. It sure does add up! Especially since I (purposely) pay in paper bills only and collect the change to put in the jar. It seems like free money when the jar is full, since you don't really miss it.

I have a penny jar. Well not really a jar. A penny box. By box I mean "large pile of loose pennies on my desk". I think there's about... $6 worth there.

What room is this bottle in and what's your address?

Anonymous.

lol hope you intend to spend that money on a hernia operation after you figure out how to get it out of his house.

I had one like that- giant pop bottle, full to the top, 137 pounds. $1287.53, all rolled by hand. Heck, it's better than giving Coinstar $100 for something that took me an hour.

i actually just turned in my roughly 2/3 full coffee can today, $204.77 that would buy me that 4.5 to 5 inch hunter i want.... or the GF an iPod for x-mas.
