I use simple ones like this every day in the shop, so I decided to actually finish one out.

It's clay coated/water hardened 1084 (double "ghost hamon")
Cocobolo scales
hidden lanyard

Hand sanded to 2000x and etched/polished 7 times to bring out hamon.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks :)

Nick

p.s. It looks a little dirty or unfinished just ahead of the scales, but trust me, IT'S NOT :( It may be a shadow

I like small utility knives just like that one!

How do you do the hidden lanyard hole?

I like it Nick.., and I'd also be interested in hearing the process for that hidden lanyard hole.

LMAO!!:D I said this same thing almost word for word just the other day when a guy asked about what I use in my shop.

Great tempering and etching you did on that blade. A very simple yet stylish knife. Just about the perfect shape for a little utility knife, as far as I am concerned.
