simplest folder

Hi All. I had a vision of a folder with two Micarta slabs, blade, adjustable pivot screw, stop-pin and maybe a pocket clip. No Lock. A maker has offered to make this folder for me. I'm very excited about this. I will post a pic when I get the knife. And, yes---I know my limitations! Thanks, to this Forum!

Seno---You're correct. Easy for me to say! There's always more to it. This folder will be interesting. For basic cutting, I really decided I do not need a lock. Thanks for the post.

Siguy---It will be a friction folder but Chuck is going to make the folder for a lock if I decide on one later. How cool is that? Thanks!

How about just buying a Sod Buster.

555---I thought about a Sodbuster. But my folder will not have a lock and will have an adjustable pivot screw. Plus, it will be hand-made, for me. Thanks for your post.

AG russell did a locking version of this called the Brute

KID---I really looked at AG's Brute. I like an adjustable pivot screw and this folder will use A-2 tool steel, my favorite blade steel. And---for $5. more, I get a Custom knife! I could not resist. Thanks!
