As much as I love custom wood and bone handles, there is something to be said about the simplicity of black handles on satin knives. In my opinion it helps focus on the raw beauty of their design.

Clip point MOASH with Standard Micarata .340
SFNO with Magnum G10 .22
SOW with Magnum G10 .22

Awesome! That clip point MOASH is amazing.

I'll help you dispose of those bone handles if you like :p

Bone handles are still my favorite, but there will always be a place for my monochrome Busses.

It's a very nice combo!
I noticed that the Black linen looks "blacker" than the G10 though. I wonder if a bit of very fine sandpaper could cure that.
Either way... VERY NICE!

The black micarta absorbs more oil then G10 so it seems more shiny and black. However when they are completely dry the G10 is darker and shinier.

Nice trio of knives. A sweet lookin' SFNO and a cool MOASH.

Do you happen to know the thickness of the MOASH?

Sure this particular one is .340, but I've owned two others and there is quite a bit of variance with MOASH thickness from my experience. The thickest one I've owned so far has been .349

You know, it's funny: I've always felt there was something distinct about black handles on satin knives, I just couldn't point out what that something was until I read your post. It is actually the beauty of simplicity; a simplicity that, as you have very nicely expressed it, brings out the raw beauty of their design:thumbup:!

Nice collection guys

I'm jealous, I've been looking hard for a stain/bp Meaner and FSH for a long time and can never seem to find any. Nice to know they do actually exist!
