My Duke 2 next to my Vulfix 2234. As you can see, they are quite different. I bought the Duke 2 for face-lathering. I've been face-lathering for about a month now, and I really enjoy it. It's nice to skip the bowl, and I actually like the shaving stick concept. I'm using Speick, a natural German soap stick that is tallow-based. It has a very classic scent that most younger guys probably wouldn't like, but I like it. The lather is fantastic, and I like the short, dense loft of the Duke 2. If things continue like this, I might end up selling my Dirty Bird 1.5 scuttle, Vulfix brush, and TOBS cream.
