I thought I would share what I've been up to in my time away.

The last one is the only one I'm in since I was taking them all...i'm on the left. This is my platoon training for fire support operations

I have a video of some shots I fired at a small building. I will post it up here when I get a chance to sit down at an actual computer.

And of course...

Sorry Alan,ex Marine here & I couldn't resist.
So you call in or direct the arty for the grunts?Or do you shoot the big guns?
Thanks for the pics & your service & welcome back.:)

i call in the artillery and run the FDC...the let us fire the guns every now and then. When I get to Alaska at the end of march i will most likely be working as a Fire Support Officer (FSO) which is more calling in the rounds versus and Fire Direction Officer (FDO) which runs/directs the calling in of rounds.

no need to apologize. the wind is a bit of a problem here in OK...when there is a 40+ mph wind on a day where the temperature is just below freezing you would be surprised what you would see soldiers doing to stay warm...there were three port-o-potties on that barren hill...and about 20 guys taking turns sitting in them together to keep warm. I am sure it was the same in the Marines

Yup,I remember one time in Germany,it was colder than a witches whatchamacallit & myself & my fellow mechs. would take turns setting inside the enclosure of a portable light unit that had a little briggs & stratton engine that powered the generator. It was cramped but warm.

Looks like fun man! Good to have you back.
